I got off the bus
The man stepped in my path
He holds a sign
"Jesus loves you"

This I know
I didn't need a sign to tell me so

I rush on past
My mind filled with thoughts
I have no time for some man
Who is lost

I stand in line
A child in front of me
Has a bracelet with letters
WWJD

I walk out the door
After paying for what's mine
The lady asked if I had spare change
I look at her with all the disgust
"No!" I said, "I'm in a rush!"

People are needy
Not my problem I say
The sign on the billboard
Caught my attention today

What would Jesus Do?
The little girl's bracelet
Was my clue

I stopped in my tracks
What did I do?

I didn't give time
For the man with the sign
I didn't reach out to the woman asking of me
I had no time, not even a small dime
