A Friend I Will Be ©

Mystery Rose
USA
2003

Sometimes in our journey
We seek to understand
Simple things of pleasure
And not let them get out of hand.

I wonder what will come
In days that are still ahead
But often times I wonder
What it takes to be a friend

Some say friends mirror us
They reflect who we are
Some say friends stand by us
No matter where we are

Today I journey with many
They reach out to me
But my only wish for today
Is that a friend I will be
