A Glimpse Of God ©

Paul Murdoch
Alexandria, Scotland
2004

To see a glimpse of God
That sets your soul alight;
The truth; complete, unqualified,
Perspective cannot fight.

A child untouched by reason;
A thought unblemished, clean;
The innocence the ancients seek
Is here, but never seen.

The guardians of daily grind
Are crushed beneath the feet
Of tiny laughing children,
Who's wonders never cease.
