Ash ©

John C Gillies
Edinburgh, Scotland
2000

Don't stand and cry upon my grave,
it's not I,
that lay in there.
After death have me burned,
scatter my ash to the wind,
so I may choose
where I lay.
Never look back upon this day
with sadness.
You set me free
from this physical world
where I can't be.
All my love to you from me.
