A small happiness has crept
into my life
in the shape o’ a faraway foetus.
A scanned image has caused me
disorientated thoughts an’
my logic now is scrambled.
Who is this who wanders
into the valley o’ my love?
Why am I so full o’ tears for
such an idea
that an unborn child
could bless my lonely life?
