Autumn Scene ©

William Carolan
Luton, England
2005

I see a sight often seen before,
leaves falling on a grassy floor.
Touched by autumn now the green turned brown,
falling from the tree like a discarded gown.
The tree so majestic and so green,
now bare until the next transforming scene.
When winter snow will clothe the branches white,
creating a picture of a winter sight.
