Life is like a canvas
You touch up everyday
Filled with many colors
A path of many days

When I’m old and my hair is gray
When I’ve many years behind me
and few just ahead
I will sit and recall the roads traveled
And the many words I’ve said

I hope in my old age dreamin'
I shall have no regrets
Let there be no visions
Of the hasty things or mess

I’m painting a picture
That I want to see
I’m filling in the canvas
Of great things yet to be

I hope there is no selfishness
Or a time when I was mean
I want it to be filled with memories
Of awesome task and dreams
