Christmas Love ©

Ian McCrae
Sydney, Australia
2007

Christmas trees and candlelights
Small children's eyes, so very bright,
A mother's smile, a perfect day
So much love, we kneel and pray.

Happy faces, children laughing
Mothers smiling through their tears,
Church bells ringing, children signing
Happy memories, of bygone years:

Christmas stockings filled with cheer
For the ones we love so dear,
Cherished memoirs of loved once lost
At Christmas time, we count the cost.

Christmas trees and candlelights
Small children's eyes, so very bright,
A mother's smile, a perfect day
So much love, we kneel and pray.
