Christmas Smile ©

Ian McCrae
Sydney, Australia
2004

You are not alone at Christmas time
You are not alone at all,
Think of all children
Think of them, so small.

Their needs are not enormous
A gentle smile will do,
Their life is just beginning
With a little help from you.

Down the street across the road
Someone needs your smile,
Our someone just as lonely
In self imposed exile.

Soldiers singing Christmas carol’s
Kneel with them in grace,
God gave his only son
To save the human race.

You are not alone at Christmas
God keeps you in his care,
Loneliness is just a word
Take the time to share.
