Damp seeping
November is weeping
Summer seems a fleeting thought
Until the robin cheeps
As only he can
His wings flutter close by
Bonfire gathered in anticipation
By this years young
Easy to forget the ritual
Choosing old clothes for Guy
Cheering when some one gifts
An old chair of ancient horsehair
So I shall wrap up
Wear boots
Venture forth
Even buy a pumpkin and sparklers
For yesteryear others long gone
Would have felt November in their bones
