Diversion of Skills ©

Stella
Fife, Scotland
2005

I know where the rescuers are
Those with backbone.. training
And skill who will do the job well

They're on patrols but they carry guns
So put aside war take up kindness
It is not retreat but rescue

A peace force who would use both hands
And not have to watch their backs
What better pledge could be made

Rebuild a bridge.. Dig a well
Make a road. set up a camp
Feed the hungry.. work for mankind
