Dragons' Breath ©
To "my Feenix", you'll recognise yourself!

Out of
eggshell,
brown, speckly,
there's a dragon
smiling at me.
Happiness
written on her face,
YES, it's a she (!)
Phillistine souls,
just...
RUN AWAY!
She's breathing
deep -
she's growing
fast.
I sense
passion through
her nostrils;
reptile-like
eyes blink before
speak -
her mind, this
complex
mechanics,
scares
living nightlights
in our
dreams!
....powerful words
cogitate
high.
Body and soul,
tower of
faith,
blow orange
flames -
controlling
heat...
no darkness in
our Northern Lights (!)
life beyond
extent of those
wings,
she's flown
through darkest of
all clouds;
she's a fighter -
you're our
Fi-nix (!)
I've learnt to cope
with Dragon's
breath -
I just have
to stay
by
your side.
