Drinking the Water From Your Lips ©
The ultimate magic moment in the Scottish Highlands...

Nat Hall
Sandwick, Shetland
2000

Aloof we stood in their greatness...
Silent mountains, the Three Sisters
With their snow caps bore timelessness...
On gentle slopes we mean nothing -
We're just brothers!

In April sun we walked uphill;
The air was crisp - the light so bright...
Beneath our feet Time seemed to heal
The deepest wounds in all its might.

Aloof we sat in their vastness;
Watching the hills - feeling so safe...
To their grandeur we bore witness;
Serenity shone on my face.

For the first time I felt complete;
To quench my thirst you found a spring...
Your lips freed love none can deplete!
Moment of bliss you were freezing
Deep in my heart.
