During Sunset ©

Amiel Cornico
Quezon City, Philippines
2005

During sunset
Iím standing here alone
Bathing in the glow of your crimson color
Feeling the profusion of your warmness and coldness
As Iím watching you enveloped by the horizon.

During sunset
Birds singing as they follow you going gone
Singing more melodiously, I wonder why?
The sky glowing as he bathes with your lovely color
And the waters too; as she embraces that hue.

During sunset
And like the drama that's taking place
Nature teaching a lesson not to be sad
I will be bringing to the twilight;
Only crimson-colored memories of you.
