Friend, foe,
we lock ourselves in queer bubbles -

is that really HOW we see them?

Around our world,
bombs detonate like tic-tac clocks
on gelignite

Thank God,
we fake smiley faces
(all but a reality show!)

5. SPACE
Launch - pad,
Houston fixes all our problems;

....is that really WHAT we dream of?

Our souls orbit around Saturn
leaving behind junk and poison...

Like lone rangers,
we stick our minds to thick portholes
to check rivets and fuselage

Thank God,
we still gaze at our Moon.

6. LIFE
Birth, pain...
we mixed our genes to let them fly -

is that REALLY what we're
here for?

Some saw Elvis dance on his grave,
they swapped a smile;
others don't dare,
they love
angels.

Thank God,
our wings will take us high.
