Farewell Oh Earth! ©

Shmuel Yacobi
Lancashire, England
2002

I looked around and heard the man
I walked and talked, I laughed and ran
I bought and ate all lively creams
I did these deeds in all my dreams

Now what I need this body for
No need for the furniture
Matter taught me that in mind
And, I can go in dreamy kind

Farewell to you Dust So Fair!
Thanks for eyes and ears and hair
Take these things you gave me then
I give you back all these in one

But how evolved such things in me
When you don't need such things like me
Tell me what I evolve and use
Without your matter to disuse
