Gap ©

Stella
Fife, Scotland
2004

I heard that there is a place
Called Gap it's a bit like Now
And similar to Then

Gap is where I can recall
That song heard at conception
Which will replay when between
Breaths I feel, see and savour
All time, infinity, eternity

Gap is beyond middle ground
More peaceful than peace
Lighter by far than grace
And deeper than love

Knowing that such a place exists
Drives me, lightens sadness
Entices humour when the reality
Of life may weaken others

Gap is accessible to those who
Between sleeping and waking, sense
A presence who has kept watch
In the hours of darkness
