Glasgow’s Mythical Daughter ©

The loch looked like a child, soft and at peace,
As the sun sank from the roasted sky,
I waited for harmony to rise from the water,
An introduction to Glasgow’s beautiful daughter.
From a shadow on the water, a woman appeared,
Her face covered in a silken cloth,
She lived in a myth, as she was ageless,
I uncovered the cloth to find my daughter faceless.
