Homeward Bound ©

Katriona Wallace
Stirling, Scotland
2004

The years passed by and I never knew
That each one brought me close to You
I would have broken heart and soul
But by Your grace I still am whole

My path was narrow and apart
And yet it led me to your heart
You walked with me and by Your grace
I found through You that special Place

It was Your voice that called to me
I knew it well but did not heed
That time I had a different need
I was misled, but now You lead

You forgave and dried my wistful tears
The years are all forgotten now
You lifted me to Holy Ground
All is well, I'm Homeward bound
