How Lucky We Are ©

by Deborah Lloyd
Scotland
2000

How lucky we are to have clean water,
whilst others have none.

How lucky we are to have fresh food,
whilst others starve.

How lucky we are to have clothing,
whilst others go bare.

How lucky we are to have houses,
whilst others slumber, unsheltered.

So why do we want for more?
