Raising of “Old Glory” at Iwo Jima;
No other would be viewed more supreme a
Photographic depiction of that history to recall;
It’s ironic to think it unknowingly saluted on the wall
Of many a bigoted ignorant redneck anti-Semite
Who might otherwise vent their petulant spite
On the photographer and all his tribe
“A gorgeous paradox” you could describe
It as, to picture their foul diatribe
If they had this intelligence.
