Jazz Revival ©

Frank E Gibbard
London, England

No sweet sounds now down those historic streets
Where jazz first shook our world with its euphoric beats
No rhythms, no horns, no cats there to swing
In clubs where old jazz greats did their brand new thing
Wild nature was seen at its deadliest worst
Inadequate levees inevitably burst
Jazz and New Orleans need the longest take five
Dormant not dead they have heart to survive
In two streets of renown known as Bourbon and Basin
Cool jazz will play live and send pulses a-racin'
