Jazz Revival In New Orleans ©

Frank E Gibbard
London, England
2005

No sweet sounds now down two historic streets
Of New Orleans and jazz and its euphoric beats
No rhythms, no horns, no cats there to swing
In clubs where Louis Armstrong did his brand new thing
Wild nature has done all its deadliest worst
Inadequate levees inevitably burst
Jazz and New Orleans need the longest take five
Dormant not dead they have heart to revive
In streets of renown known as Bourbon and Basin
Cool jazz will play live and send pulses aracin'
