Lighthouse of Life ©

Sonja Nic Rafferty
Germany
2003

Lighthouse, let your light shine
Shipwrecked I'm sailing hopelessly.
I've lost hope and do not feel fine,
Rescue me before I sink helplessly.

Let me always see the daylight
And the Scottish Thistle so bright.

Lighthouse, don't switch your light off,
Carefully show me the right way
To Caledonia's legendary lochs,
To the green highland braes.

Lead me through the dark nights
To the shimmering Northern Lights.
