Did God love the primal soup as he stirred,
Ingredients of Life and carbon chains ?
Did Saints look down, where cosmic atoms rain,
Upon fierce and fiery earth, undeterred ?
Did God love the dinosaurs, when first made,
And gave them Eden to plod up and down ?
Did Angels praise T. Rex and his gold crown,
When of creatures formed, he ruled the parade ?
Did all Heaven's Host leap in hymnal joy,
To see the meteor plunge in the sea,
And writhing, squealing, scalded, things enjoy,
Because they had no wit to praise Him, free ?
Now does God and Devil ache to employ,
Global force of change, mankind, to destroy ?
