Mates ©

John C Gillies
Edinburgh, Scotland
2001

Your soul has become restless
as old age creeps in.
It`s got a desire to leave
that body it lived in.
Just like a new born baby,
but all grown up, it must
make that journey to the
higher plane, and leave
this physical domain.
Your soul must leave now
the pull is so great, greater than
its love for its physical mates.
But shall meet again as
soul mates.
