Memories From Times Past ©

Sarah Buis
Willagee, Western Australia
2005

How do we know where we are heading?
We don't.

Why do some have many questions while others none.
To question life,
To crave answers,
For an understanding of the life that has been far gone.

Are those thoughts past memories trying to remind us?
Trying to prevent history being wiped clean,
Or are they merely a curiosity that will burden our souls
until the end of our immortal lives.

One thing to be sure of is that,
As long as our spirits keep questioning,
seeking answers,
the past will never be forgotten.
