Missing You ©

Anne Dickson
Irvine, Scotland
2007

My mum, I love her very much,
though I am far away.
I do not see her as I should,
I should go and stay.

She is always in my heart,
no matter where I am.
We live so very far apart
but phone her when I can.

I miss her when I'm working.
I miss her when I sleep.
I dream of her so often
and my feelings are so deep.

I cry for her when I'm alone,
when I am really down.
I wish she was here with me
but I just sit and frown.

I will see her very soon,
when I cross the Irish Sea.
I will hug her when we meet
as Scotland's where I'll be.
