MORNING MIST ©

Katriona Wallace
Stirling, Scotland
2005

Autumn lingers on with grace
A haze of silver light
Enshrouding meadows, fields and trees
In lacy veils of white

The phantoms frolic through the woods
In ghostly drifts and flows
Concealing lochs in misty shawls
Till sunrays warm the shores

Then with the coming of new day
The drapes of night are gone
Revealing blushing morning pink
To the chirping wings of dawn
