My Dream of Dreams ©

John Bearcat-Redmond
Fife, Scotland
2004

My Gypsy Princess Dream of Dreams I will never know who are you
The sweetness of your soft, soft voice I will never hear - sad, but true
No face to linger in my thoughts or you to hear my nightmare screams
My days will pass, never to hold you close and near beneath the moonlight beams
I will think of you in the No-Mans-Land my cheek will be wet with a tear
Oh Dream of Dreams my Gypsy lass I'm forgotten and loved no more
Or I would truly give to you, as the sea clings on the shore
Take care my Dream of Dreams, take care and have no more fear
And you will find that gallant knight, whose love will be sincere
