My Land Galloway ©

I hear the skylark singing
My heart is filled with pride,
This land is Bonnie Galloway
And where my ain folk bide.
I can see again the heather
Where the blue bells grow,
The mountains of my homeland
In a veil of sparkling snow.
The winter clouds will gather
And stormy seas will roar.
And wild birds will return
To nest out along the shore,
The face of Bonnie Galloway
With a thousand shades of green,
A moment while I ponder
In this wonderland of dreams.
As I wondered on life's highway
The world I roamed at will.
The face of Bonnie Galloway
My home, I love you still.
