MY MUM ©

Anne Dickson
Irvine, Scotland
2006

My mother is a special mum,
she always sees that things are done.
She works so hard and does it well,
when she irons and cleans, you can tell.

She decorates and cooks for me,
and always fills my heart with glee.
She loves my kids and their kids too,
they're in her heart the whole year through.

She's always there when I am down,
she does not like to see me frown.
She is always there for me,
and that's where mums should always be.
