One Step At A Time ©

Mystery Rose
USA
2005

The road is paved with many stones
Sometimes smooth and other times worn
If it is hard to walk that long, long road
One step at a time is the easiest course

Think of where you are going
And where you have been
Pride and courage will guide your way
The baggage you carry; toss it today
No need to bring along a heavy load
Freedom to be is just up the road

There are simple things to clear the way
The pillars of life is your guiding stone
You will find those along the road
Itís in a kind gesture given to you
It's in understanding and encouragement
It's your convictions that never rest

Itís really very simple although you may not see
One step closer you just might be
All that you wished for and hoped to be
It lies within you and your destiny
