Oor Trains ©

by H Marshall
Scotland
2002
Written after an altercation with a Railworker's picket at Waverley Station, Edinburgh on the day of another rail strike. Mr Brown was Scotrail's Management negotiator. Mr McGarry was the Railworker's Union negotiator.

Oor choo choo trains din'nae work,
That is really awfy sad,
We can'nae get tae work oan time,
It makes us really mad.

It's aw' because o' Scotrail,
The workers an' the bosses,
If they're no careful whit they dae,
We'll aw' go back tae buses.

ACAS tried their best tae help,
But still they'll no agree,
Nae bother fur Broon an' McGarry,
But bother fur you an me!
