Out on My Cloud ©

[Poet's note: On hearing "King of The Mountain" for the very first time on the planet on BBC Radio 2 on Wednesday 21 September 2005. This event was long awaited by so many of us, Kate [Bush] fans! I shall never forget this "moment of pleasure"..... What a breath of fresh air!]

Nat Hall
Sandwick, Shetland
2005

Today the world could have been tossed
like a pancake - sweet crêpe suzette!
I'm buzzing through highest
of cloud...
O2 busters,
I've kissed new heights;
my master voice returned on air.
Rose bushes dance
in my garden,
so happy on this latitude...

I've heard that wind,
warm,
whistling,
wrapping my soul
on radio.
Painful waiting for this moment,
please forgive me if
I shed tears -
liquid language of emotion.

My eyes blink through the stratosphere,
I can't help it,
'cause to me
this is
just
heaven.
