Paper Chains ©

Stella
Fife, Scotland
2004

My paper chain thoughts
Links with Christmas past
Grow longer
Invisibly they span the years
touching others

Some short..some longer
Decorating in a random way
My years

As a child when belief was untarnished
And hope was high
Each link chronology numbered
In my minds eye

Yet no matter what the world has spun
My eyes shine on Christmas dawn

And so it was and so it is
Each year is newly His.
