Richard Alan Stewart
Wiltshire, England
1999

Feet up, out of space in ‘69
I orbit with an ice cold can
And from here
If I wipe the window’s condensation
I look up to a perfect dark blue sphere

On my lap an eagle earth centrefold
Vision of 2001
Silent silver missiles
Cruising Empire State dreams
Mono railed through an electric - stapled
Wonderland

Outside, cold spark blue
Inside fuggy and warm

Feet up, out of space in ‘69
I orbit with an ice cold can
And from here
If I wipe the window’s condensation
I look up to a perfect dark blue sphere.
