Sunday drive towards the Hillfoots
where there is rugged grandeur
then on westward to the new world
From this small county I sense
all mankind's pulse beating in time
February sky seems to have one portion
Opening into the promise of a new season
Where light and warmth
Will nurture fresh greenness
Renewal of blossom before summer
This waiting time teaches patience
Lent marches slowly
As it should...one foot after the other
Yet as primroses bud again on banks
the shedding of winter is a gradual process
still as promise of Easter radiated from the sky
nearby some grey clouds lingered
befitting this short month…..a reminder
that everything has a season
and all things must pass
