SPRINGTIME ©

Anne Dickson
Irvine, Scotland
2006

I love the spring.
The flowers come out.
Lambs in the fields, springing about

Birds are making all their nests.
With twigs and feathers, they do their best.
They lay their eggs there safe and warm.
Till all the little chicks are born.

Bumble bees they hum around.
Larks making the most wonderful sounds.
Spring is a lovely time of year.
When everything new starts to appear.
