Stephen Daly
Glasgow, Scotland
2005

She had cake dust on her nose
and flicked a bounce of hair to see him.
the kind of girl who did not think twice
pulling on a pair of patterned tights
Coloured ones
to look different. Unique.
Ordered a Bolivian beamed espresso
Single cream for luck
She swooned when asked for honey
Blushed and said how much
could one woman take?
Comfortably in-between knowing each other and
Sparking with quick short answers. Easy questions.
the new awareness that goes with compatibility.
Her aqua blue eyes, pale enough
Like the clearness of a beautiful sea
around a pacific island. Warm, tempting
with an array of colourful life underneath.......
