Teardrops ©
September 11, 2001 attacks

John C Gillies
Edinburgh, Scotland
2001

As the teardrops ran down your face
and blood ran fast through your veins,
something deep inside had changed.
Watching this unfold on TV as
all emotions run through your brain,
can it ever be the same?
Something went wrong,
our world changed that day.
When the terrorists took all those lives away
never forget what they did.
Can you ever forgive?
