Thank You Lord ©

Ian McCrae
Sydney, Australia
2001

Blow, soft wind -
Down the Solway just for you and me:
Blow soft winds, and stir the gentle sea.

Fall, soft rains -
Down through the fields and in the sea,
Fall soft rain, all this beauty, just for you and me.

Blow, soft mist -
Across the moors where no man should be,
Blow soft mist, whirl and twist just for you and me.

Snow, gentle snow -
Cover all the hills and in the trees,
Snow gentle snow, at Christmas just for you and me.

Shine, Sun Shine -
As in my youth, Lord be merciful unto me!
Shine sunshine. Lord all praise to thee!
