The Body Hunters in Aftermath ©

Jim McRobert
Edinburgh, Scotland
2005

Trapped, about all chaos
Buried deep in fear
Tumbling all around me
Waves are never clear

Cry with desperation
Nightmare as I blink
Bodies floating by me
Shredded guts, all stink

None around to help me
Ghosts don't offer hope
Searching trash for profit
Torpid spirits grope

Black the eyes of children
Dare to see the tears
Locked within each prison
With painted violent tears.
