The Call of a Heart ©

Mike Barclay
Münster, Germany
2004

My longings
Cross the skies
Sunsets
Travel into the past
Dreams
Into a new kind of future
Love grows
Deep inside my heart
The seed is sown
Heather is blooming
Corn fields are singing
Thistles painting
A picture
Of my county
Green hills
Let me smile
I walk around
Loch Lomond
The bonny bonny banks let me dream
I spread my longings
To the winds
To catch the first light
Of a new young morning
And sail over the land of my birth
