The Druids of the Moor ©

Ancient stones
old men with
moss-like beards
the Druids of the moor.
They stand as a testimony
to the ingenuity of a people
who only knew of
wood and stone.
The heather
like a monarch's regal coat
drapes down the hill-side
in magnificent splendour.
And it's here the mystery begins
the atmosphere immense
for the presence is all too real
the Druids on the moor.
