The Palace Dancers ©

Stella
Fife, Scotland
2005

Falkland Palace invited
Those who could dance
And those who would watch
So I went

Hosted by Scotland
Visitors came bringing
The cream of the crop
For music song and dance

The garden was in bloom
Flags and tartan met
Shoes with turned up toes
Stilts and a May Queen

Behind the walls
Peace reigned
As only it can
When people dance

Contrast the scene
To the newsreels
Where the notion to dance
Has yet to take roots
