THE WINNING HAND: FULL HOUSE ©

Tri Tran
California, USA
2006

I sit on my couch to watch the royal gathering movie.

The queen of heart lays herself down on the poker table—
Between the king of diamond and the king of heart;
She yearns to have guests for Easter,
She wants her best friends, the king and queen of club, to come.
She looks at the grand father clock that says eight thirty, at night.
She begins to feel sleepy and closes her eyes to rest,
Leaving the two kings to lie there to chit chat.

A few minutes later, the wooden door opens.
Two silhouettes approach the table
And lay themselves down next to the king of heart.
They introduce themselves as the king and queen of club
And apologize for being late because of the traffic.

The queen of heart overhears the whisper and opens her eyes,
She greets them with dignity and tells them to make themselves comfortable.

The five of them, now, lie one next to the other, waiting for the moment to come…

And the winners is… TRI TRAN!
