Toast to our Adopted Land ©

(Burns Supper)

Moira Kloos
Ontario, Canada
2003

Tonight we hope you have enjoyed this tradition from our Land
for all our customs united has helped make Canada grand
and yes indeed we thank you us folks from Brittania's shore,
The Irish, English, Welsh and Scots who've come here by the score.

You welcomed us all with an outstretched hand,
enriched our lives in this new land,
and though we miss our hame across the sea,
we've adopted you and we're proud to be a part of a nation "United and Free"
in this land that belongs to you and me.
