Stella
Fife, Scotland
2004

Those things that stun...leave a feeling
Of disbelief
Perhaps our collective brain denying
That part of our world
Is destroyed
Are so big that lifetimes will pass
Before total realisation
Hits home

We have the luxury of disbelief
Those poor souls bereft
and without loved ones
alas no

I cannot see however closely
I look
A white dove of peace holding an
Olive branch
I can only choke on saline of my own making
