Kanya is searching in despair
For a sign of life from the mother
Which isn´t there
Waves of salt, a camera eye
She describes her mother to the stranger
It's hard but she tries
I ran into the forest - up the highest mountain
When I came back our home was gone
And so were the surroundings
My mama's gone, and I am here
Searching for her everywhere
Kanya´s eyes are crying out for help
But the stranger´s just thinking about himself
"Batteries out. I must go." he says
"I hope you find your mother one of these days."
Kanya knows the ocean well
From all the tales her mother
used to tell
Mother told that the waves
could crave human lives
she never told it would crave her
ana cries
I ran into the forest - up the highest mountain
When I came back our home was gone
And so were the surroundings
My mama's gone, and I am here
Searching for her everywhere
